Hi, and welcome to my newest blog :)
I'm Gisselle and I have another blog about nail art, So let me start off by saying,
I have artistic ADD. I am all over the place when it comes to arts or crafty things. Photography being my newest, well new as in I just bought my first DSLR camera :) I have been wanting one since the 11th grade, and now finally I got one. But I've repressed my urge by taking pictures with point-and-shoot cameras!
I have been a photography enthusiast, and a big time copycat of different filters and such. I'm talking about way before Instagram, I tried to figure out how to apply different filters to my pictures, using awesome websites, and then I discovered photoshop, lol! That opened up a whole new world for me. And alas, I have almost all the tools I need to start my photography adventure, I want to learn something different every day. Even If its something small :) Maybe even post a few tutorials!
As for now, I am learning the basics of this beautiful monster of a camera! I've even done a photo-shoot with a couple of friends. One is a Make-up Artist and my other friend served as our model :) I will post those pictures up soon, but for now I'll post my first few candid shots done without watching any instructional video's or reading any of the manual. This was a "get the camera out and shoot" type thing.
This little thing is my baby Lolita. So I was telling you guys how I didn't know much, I put in on the "A" and Didn't really know what to expect. Now I know its A for Aperture! and I kind of know what it does. Lol!
I went to Lincoln Park Zoo one cold day, and walked around shooting random pics, and found this one to be my favorite, These two lions love each other, that's my story and i'm sticking with it!!
Ok, actually, this 3rd pic, I youtube'd a bit on aperture. I didn't know what those random letters on the camera were. Not so random anymore!
Alright, and these other few pictures are a little more thought out.
This picture was taken at Saint James Cemetery, I thought this place was so beautiful so serene and peaceful but also a bit sad. Maybe it was the rain that day, but maybe it was the fact that all the tombstones were old and long forgotten.
I really like the look and feel of this one. Looking in through the gate.
This tree was massive, I think it might be 150 plus years. It would take 5 people hand to hand to hug this tree. As old as some of the tombstones.
And this was taken at one of my favorite little restaurants in Countryside, IL. The place is called Mangia Mangia, Its a cute little place with yummy food! And the waiters know me, always a plus!
Alright, That is it for now. I'll be back soon, I'm working on editing a few pictures for my friend the make-up artist!
Until next time,
Gisselle <3
Oh yeah, I need to put out a disclaimer, Please don't steal my photo's. They are in process of being copyrighted(copywritten?) and I really really don't like people who steal. If you want a print or buy the rights to it, please let me know, we'll figure something out. Thank you :)
